Karinda Gill
Founder and Director
Karinda was born into a financially challenged family and set about educating herself from a young age with the goal of achieving financial freedom; after many years of hard work and education she has gone on to build a $50M empire consisting of over 60 residential properties and many different company shareholdings. The director of four companies, shareholder of two others and the business manager for one more, Karinda is a serial entrepreneur. She has been recognised for her innovation, professionalism and commitment to supporting others over many years. This includes being named the Telstra Northern Territory Business Woman of the Year and her company being named the Housing Industry Association Australian Small Builder of the Year. Karinda created Abode Property Management as the size of her Investment Property portfolio grew to where it warranted having a dedicated full-time property manager. For her this was an opportunity to provide the level of service she had been looking for as a property investor – it is all about contented landlords and appreciated tenants.Karinda and her family love the Darwin lifestyle and enjoy living in the rural area. The whole family is heavily involved in a wide range of sports and particularly motor sports – anything with a motor appeals to the Gill boys!
Tayla Birch
Property Manager
Tayla is Territory born and bred and is a superstar property manager. She builds trusting relationships with both landlords and tenants as well as our tradies who do repairs and maintenance. Tayla is very experienced at doing property inspections/reports and is responsible for ensuring all properties are well maintained. She works hard ensure a high level of service for everyone. When Tayla is not at work you might find her somewhere in the bush with her off road buggy!
